PADRE TALES: Incredible stories shared by veterans during Battlefield Pilgrimages and at barrack watering holes over David's years as chaplain to Federation of Allied Combatants, Manchester Royal Artillery and as a Royal British Legion branch president.



Working among sex-workers in the city offering counselling and safety services.
STORIES FROM the STREETS: Tales of courage and rising above adversity gleaned from David's years as director of Lifeshare, the charity he founded to work among homeless people and sex workers.


The 1990 Manchester prison riots where David set up a counselling centre and led a negotiating team.
RIOT! RIOT! How a deep connection that crossed faith and cultural boundaries emerged to hold prisoners, prison officers and their families during the HMP Manchester "Strangeways" prison riots during Easter 1990.

With Sir Ian McKellen and young founders of Queerstianity having been invited to lead the 2010 Manchester Pride because of their work on issues of Community Cohesion.
